Time for the obligatory round up of activities over this Christmas. The short version: three very excited girls, lots of friends and family, and two tired but happy parents!
The girls added some more of their own decorations to this year's tree. Well done!
Naomi was the lead role in her school's nativity "Upsy-Daisy Angel". She really gave a star performance!

I was particularly excited that there was snow on Boxing Day. Combined with cousins to play with, this was a brilliant day.

I took this picture as I don't have a copy of the photo at home. That's Prince Phil on the right, and me on the left receiving a Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. I always felt it looked like I'd been identified for some crime.

Having a few more adults on hand to supervise (as well as being helpful for the sickness bugs that hit us all over the holidays) meant that the much loved activity of play dough could happen.
The girls also made me some birthday cakes

Naomi and her cousin drew up detailed plans for my birthday party.
Then ran the show very effectively. I had a lovely time.

A motley selection of items from the past couple of months to catch up on.
Firstly, we made a special trip up North at the end of November, because the girls have a new cousin. Ian and Christine (my brother and his wife) have had their first baby, Innes, and we all went to meet him. So a wee trip to Grandma's house was in order (given that we've been back up again since then, you can tell that life is still pretty busy just now!)

Mummy and Daddy got a night out at the end of October, terminated only slightly early by a child that seemed most keen to play with Mummy's necklace...
I like all the thought that has gone into this playing. Naomi has a hairspray and scissors (or at least representative objects), Miriam has an apron - Naomi even has a name badge!
Naomi actually made this! I guess someone looking this grown-up-looking ought to be able to.
Lydia likes to dance, and push buttons. This toy combines the two.

She was in here for the time it took to inadequately brush one big sister's teeth...
Nappies don't always hold it together once the morning comes. "She feels a bit damp!"
After the flurry of catch up posts we've had the past few days, it's time for a miscellaneous post...

Naomi's friend made a pumpkin latern, and she wanted to do the same. So, several days after Halloween, we made neepy lanterns. The girls drew on the patterns and I cut them out.
I feel this should be an album cover.

A present of delicious sweets. The girls have quite enjoyed having the "big sister" presents that accompanied the many presents for Lydia.
Once again, we get some cool effects with the fog. Look closely and you'll see a floating Wallace Monument. (click the picture to make it bigger!)
The girls have become strangely keen on Strictly Come Dancing. Very odd as we don't usually watch it, and it's on after their bedtime (I think they were late to bed one night and it came on) You can probably guess that Naomi likes to copy the dance moves.
Naomi's nursery had an open evening, with various fundraising things and displays. Honestly, the place was mad - it felt like hundreds of children and adults squashed into a small space. Here is a brief moment of calm getting some tasty treats.
First whole-family trip to the park. Weeeee!
Jay might write more about this sometime, but she got asked to review some buggies and carseats for a magazine. Our garage is now a wall of buggies!
