Multifarious

Some more holiday goings-on...

Quite a pleasing layout for the trains

Lydia is no longer in the Bumbo, having joined us at the table. This has meant a rearrangement with nearly everyone swapping chairs, and now my mealtime view is this!

The girls helped me to make some real lemonade! Recipe is lemons, crushed ice, water, and LOTS of sugar. Excellent.

Jay's already posted a couple of pictures from our trip to Glasgow with Uncle Ian - here are some more....
We all got a ride on the train

And Miriam drove the bus...
Miriam also had a go on the big slide, but her Mummy helped.

It was good fun!

Uncle Ian also helped read stories
Grandma also came to stay, and we all went for a treat at the shop.
I quite liked Lydia's expression in this one

Naomi drew this of her family! Isn't it good? Left to right it's Naomi, Mummy, Lydia, Daddy (as a girl apparently) and Miriam.
I also liked Naomi's dressing up skills here.

Holidays week two.

Holidays are continuing here, we have just finished week two. With this in mind, in no particular order, here is another selection of our goings on!

Painting

Lydia looking very pleased with herself for having managed to get a plastic bag, from the look on her face when I found her I would suggest she knew she wasn't supposed to have it!

I was making our packed lunches one day and I realised my baby isn't such a baby any more

On Wednesday this week we went on a train and went to Glasgow for the day

Excited

Lunch!

Cat gets some lunch too :-)
 Hamleys...
If you've got a spare £2500 you can buy an enormous giraffe!

I let them buy a toy

Bounce!

Naomi poses for the camera

Naomi drives a fire truck

And Miriam a bus

A massive slide

Playing with her new dolly

Naomi too
Another baby is not such a baby any more so I am sewing her school uniform this week!

Mum and Dad were here for a day or two, today they took us for lunch (thanks Mum and Dad!). I ordered a "skewer" (as did Grandma who is also visiting and joined us for the occasion) but I wasn't expecting it to be nearly so vertical!

Sundry

I've set myself a new challenge of finding as many alternative titles for "miscallaneous" posts as I can...

I can't remember why I took this picture now, but I thought I'd share it. It's the range of beverage sizes I got for at work. The one on the right is about 1.5 pints (I measured it) and yes, I really can clear that much tea before it goes cold. Necessary for the difficult days.

Just chilling out on the sofa.

Naomi has had French pleats in her hair for nursery quite a bit recently. This leave her hair in a really cool twisty state.
More twistiness!

The amazing reappearing plant is back after only 8 months!

We just got a food mixer (only £20 at Aldi so why not?), and NEEDED to test the dough hooks. Here's an attempt at Brioche, which was pretty nice. Naomi calls it "clever bread".

Some slight sadness to finish. This is the last day that I took Naomi to nursery - I'll miss this!

NaomiCam

Naomi got a hold of my camera phone again. I love seeing the world from her perspective!
